Cast your mind back to 1931 and you may remember that it was the year that the Dennery distillery merged with another distillery in St. Lucia to form St. Lucia Distillers (it was the same year that the Empire State Building was completed – in case you need your memory jogged). To celebrate the occasion, St. Lucia Distillers created their 1931 series, and this is the sixth release of excellent St. Lucian rum in the rage.

Chairmans 1931 6th Edition Rum was released in November 2016. It is the 85th Anniversary release of this incredible rum. As the 6th in a series, 1931 White label commemorates 85 years of rum making at a distillery founded by Denis Barnard in the Mabouya Valley near the small fishing village of Dennery. Each bottle is individually numbered. A collectors’ item for connoisseurs of rum and a benchmark for rums in the Caribbean and wider rum world.

As with the previous editions, this 85th anniversary release is a unique blend. It’s combination of aged rums is completely different from previous editions. The final blend was agreed upon on December 18, 2015. The Chairmans 1931 5th Edition Rum blends spirits from all four of St. Lucia Distillers pot and column stills.

It is aged 6-12 years.
